On April 14, 2001, Drill Team Hawaii will be hosting a dance competition at the Leeward Community College Theater.  Entitled "A Chance to Dance," the event hopes to give both local and national dance groups an opportunity to get together and compete in a friendly atmosphere.

Team categories include: dance, hip hop, lyrical, military, novelty, officer's dance and prop.  An open solo dance category will also be featured.  Age groups include mascot (Pre-K), elementary (Gr. 1-3), upper elementary (Gr. 4-6), junior high (Gr. 7-8) and high school (Gr. 9-12).
